Mrs. J’Tey Franklin, M.Ed Executive Director, Trail Blaze Academy
Education is in my DNA it’s more than a career for me; it’s my calling.
As a third-generation educator and the first college graduate in my family, I carry both legacy and breakthrough. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and I now call Atlanta, Georgia home. Every step of my journey from student to educator has shaped my heart for the work I do now.
With a Master’s in Higher Education: Educational Leadership and a background in both college admissions and academic advising, I’ve seen just how many students are underprepared and overwhelmed when it’s time to take their next step. Not because they lack potential but because they lacked access, guidance, and vision.
That’s why I created Trail Blaze Academy to stand in that gap.
To be the blueprint I wish existed for so many of us.
To create a space where students don’t just chase success they walk in purpose.
Trail Blaze is more than a program. It’s where legacy is shaped, and futures are built on something real.
This is my life’s work and I’m honored to lead the way.
